Why this blog?

A Heart for Truth

“Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth” John 17:17 NLT

Truth is absolute. Truth is sharp and tends to cut both the hearer and the messenger. Sometimes truth hurts. Truth is not always comfortable or convenient, but it is a catalyst for change, growth, and transformation. Truth sets us free, and gives meaning and purpose to our lives.  It brings clarity. We have a heart for truth because accepting truth has been the catalyst for change in our lives. We hope some of the truth shared in this blog will be a catalyst for change in your life as well.

A Heart for Life.

” …Love your neighbor as yourself…” Mark 12:31 NLT

True love is putting someone else’s needs above your own. Christ first loved us and demonstrated it by his sacrifice for our sins. How would the world around us look if we applied this definition of love to our communities? Our families? Our roles as members in the body of Christ? Our relationship with Christ? We’re still learning how to die daily to ourselves and even though we fail often, we keep striving so that God can demonstrate his love for others through us. We hope this blog encourages you to keep striving as well .

A Heart for Christ.

“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.” Mark 12:30 NLT

Jesus Christ is the source. He is the way to truth and life. Apart from him we can do nothing. We desire a heart for Christ because of who He is and what He has done. The more we experience Him, the closer our hearts draw to Him. If you desire a heart for Christ, we hope this blog is an inspiration to you.
